This is the preferred extension for OGG audio only files.||MPEG-4 Part 14 or MP4 is a digital multimedia format most commonly used to store video and audio, but can also be used to store other data such as subtitles and still images. Like most modern container formats, it allows streaming over the Internet.|
|Technical details||The Ogg format was created as a framework which are available free of charge and re-implementable in software. The format consists of chunks of data referred to as Ogg Pages. A BSD licensed library called LibVorbis is used to encode and decode the data from the Vorbis streams. Currently there is no official standard for including metadata in Ogg containers, but must be included in the Codec.||Most kinds of data can be embedded in MPEG-4 Part 14 files through private streams. A separate hint track is used to include streaming information in the file.|
