Description A .cbr file is a compressed file that allows a set of comic book images to be stored. These images can be ordered and the format in which they are displayed can be altered to allow two images to be viewed side by side, in the same way as a double page spread would occur. The Office Open XML file formats are a set of file formats that can be used to represent electronic office documents. There are formats for word processing documents, spreadsheets and presentations as well as specific formats for material such as mathematical formulae, graphics, bibliographies etc.
Technical details A .cbr file is actually just a .rar file with an amended file extension. What makes a .cbr file different is that it can be opened directly by comic book viewer applications without a requirement to decompress it first. The user can also associate the file extension with a Comic Book Viewer application. Typical image formats are allowed for a .cbr file such as JPEG, GIFF, TIFF and PNG. Office Open XML documents are stored in Open Packaging Convention (OPC) packages, which are ZIP files containing XML and other data files, along with a specification of the relationships between them. Depending on the type of the document, the packages have different internal directory structures and names.
Associated programs CDisplay, ComicFlow, Perfect Viewer Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Kingsoft Office, Google Docs.
